Docetaxel is a chemotherapy agent that is used to treat a number of cancers, including breast cancer, prostate cancer, lung cancer, and bladder cancer. Docetaxel-d9 is a solubilized form of docetaxel that has been validated for use in the treatment of cancer. It has been shown to inhibit the growth kinetics of carcinoma cell lines in vitro. The uptake of docetaxel-d9 was studied on bladder and plasma samples. In addition, it was found that docetaxel-d9 can be detected by a Western blot assay (WST-1). Docetaxel-d9 is also soluble in water and organic solvents such as acetone or ethanol.
