(R)-Diphenylprolinol trimethyl silyl ether is a reagent that can be used in organic chemistry. It is prepared by the reaction of diphenylprolinol with trimethylsilyl chloride. The compound can be used as an organocatalyst for the preparation of iminium compounds and carbamates, which are used to synthesize enamines and other compounds. (R)-Diphenylprolinol trimethyl silyl ether is soluble in a variety of solvents, including alcohols, ethers, chlorinated hydrocarbons, and halogenated hydrocarbons. It has been shown to be stable at room temperature and crystalline under ambient conditions.
