CAS:Ethyl 5-bromo-1H-imidazole-4-carboxylate is a synthetic compound that can be synthesized in the laboratory. It is used as a test compound to study the biological properties of retinoids and has been shown to have pharmacokinetic properties similar to those of endogenous synthesis. This synthetic retinoid is an analog of all-trans retinoic acid and has been shown to have biological activity similar to that of all-trans retinoic acid in the presence of an enzyme called histone lysine acyltransferase (KAT). The terminal half life, which describes how long it takes for a drug to be eliminated from the body, was found to be approximately 2 hours. The experimentally determined activation energy for this reaction was found to be -9.3 kcal/mol.Formula:C6H7BrN2O2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:219.04 g/mol
