CAS:Bis(N,N-diethylthiocarbamoyl) sulfide is a water-soluble drug that has been used as a control agent in clinical studies. It is an inhibitor of dopamine β-hydroxylase and inhibits the conversion of dopamine to norepinephrine. Bis(N,N-diethylthiocarbamoyl) sulfide has been shown to be safe for use in humans and animals. The drug has also been used as a therapeutic agent for bowel disease or inflammatory bowel disease.
