Cis-3-Fluoropiperidin-4-Ol is a primary amine that is used in organic chemistry as an enantioselective organocatalyst. It has been shown to be effective as a crystallization catalyst for the synthesis of enantiopure compounds. Cis-3-Fluoropiperidin-4-Ol has also been shown to be a good chiral auxiliary for kinetic resolution and for the preparation of medicinal chemistry products. The fluorination of cis-3-fluoropiperidinol is also possible, which may be useful for the preparation of antihypertensive drugs.
