Xenbucin
CAS:Xenbucin is a peptide that belongs to the group of activators. It is a cell-permeable, small molecule that can activate ion channels. Xenbucin has been used as a research tool for studying the interactions between proteins and receptors, as well as for understanding the mechanism of action of drugs. Xenbucin also acts as an inhibitor by binding to receptor ligands, thereby blocking their interaction with their corresponding receptors. The compound has been shown to inhibit activation of human neutrophils and platelets through inhibition of protein interactions with receptors such as P2Y2, P2Y4, and P2X7. Xenbucin also inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α by inhibiting the activity of NFkB in cells treated with LPS.Formula:C16H16O2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:240.30 g/molXenbucin
