O-Methyl chlorthalidone-d4 is a water-soluble, polymeric, ether. It is used as a solvent for the synthesis of other drugs. O-Methyl chlorthalidone-d4 has been shown to be effective in the treatment of high blood pressure and congestive heart failure. The drug is not very soluble in water, but it can be dissolved in ether or methanol. O-Methyl chlorthalidone-d4 is also an effective diuretic that increases the excretion of urine by increasing the rate of urine production and reducing the concentration of sodium and chloride ions in urine. O-Methyl chlorthalidone-d4 is a clear liquid with a boiling point between 100°C and 115°C at atmospheric pressure. The substance is highly flammable and should be stored away from heat or flame.
