    Droloxifene is a selective estrogen receptor modulator that has been shown to be effective in the treatment of breast cancer. It is also used to treat postmenopausal osteoporosis and prevent osteoporotic fractures. Droloxifene binds to the estrogen receptors, preventing estradiol from binding. This prevents the proliferation of cancer cells, which are dependent on estrogens for growth. The drug has been shown to be well tolerated in human serum and not associated with any adverse effects.
