Iofendylate
CAS:Iofendylate is a diagnostic agent that is used in the diagnosis of congestive heart failure. It is primarily used to detect and diagnose infections in the central nervous system, such as spinal or subarachnoid infections. Iofendylate is also used to identify certain types of cancers, such as lymphoma and leukemia, by identifying fatty acid profiles. Iofendylate binds to lipids in mammalian tissue and can be detected with a spectrophotometer. This compound has been shown to bind specifically to myelin sheaths in the central nervous system and increase their thickness when injected into animals with experimental allergic encephalomyelitis (EAE).Formula:C19H29IO2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:416.34 g/molIophendylate
