CAS 99010-09-0: 3-Amino-4-(2-methylpropylamino)quinoline

N4-Isobutylquinoline-3,4-diamine (N4IQD) is a potent activator of the immune system and has been shown to have cytotoxic activity against parasites. N4IQD also has anti-leishmanial activity and has been shown to inhibit the growth of Leishmania amastigotes in cell culture. It functions by stimulating the release of inflammatory cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), and IL-6 from macrophages. This drug also inhibits the production of reactive oxygen species, which may be due to its ability to inhibit cyclooxygenase enzymes.
