1-Linoleoyl-3-palmitoyl-rac-glycerol, a diacylglycerol, is characterized by the presence of linoleic acid (at the sn-1 position) and palmitic acid (at the sn-3 position). This compound has been detected in wheat bran extracts and in dry-cured Iberian ham, but not in its raw form.

1-Linoleoyl-3-palmitoyl-rac-glycerol is a fatty acid that is used as an ingredient in biodiesel. It has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of platelet aggregation, and may be useful for the treatment of high blood pressure. 1-Linoleoyl-3-palmitoyl-rac-glycerol is synthesized from linoleic acid and palmitic acid through the action of an acid catalyst. The water vapor content of this compound can range from 0.1% to 5%. Impurities in this substance include calophyllum, inophyllum, powder x-ray diffractometry, pubescens, cavitation, japonica, and inophyllum. 1LPRG has been shown to inhibit arachidonic acid release; it also inhibits the production of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) by inhibiting cyclooxygenase activity.
