    4-(2-Fluorophenyl)-6-Methyl-2-Piperazin-1-Ylthieno[2,3-d]Pyrimidine is an antidepressant drug that acts by inhibiting the uptake of serotonin and dopamine. It binds to the postsynaptic 5HT3 receptor and a number of other serotonin receptors. 4-(2-Fluorophenyl)-6-Methyl-2-Piperazin-1-Ylthieno[2,3-d]Pyrimidine has been shown to be effective in treating depression in animal models. This drug also inhibits the uptake of noradrenaline, which may cause some side effects such as salivation, lacrimation, and h1 receptor activity.
