    2-[2,6-Dichloro-4-(Trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-4-Nitro-Pyrazol-3-Amine is a herbicide that inhibits the activity of the shikimate pathway. This pathway is involved in the biosynthesis of aromatic amino acids and other important compounds in plants. 2-[2,6-Dichloro-4-(Trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-4-Nitro-Pyrazol-3-Amine blocks this pathway by inhibiting the enzyme EPSP synthase, which catalyzes the conversion of phosphoenolpyruvate to 3-(phosphoenolpyruvate) phosphate. It has been found to be effective against a number of plant species including wheat, barley, oats and rye.
