CAS:3'-(Trifluoromethyl)acetophenone oxime (3-TFAO) is a sulfate of an organic chemical. It can be used as a solvent and has hydroxy methyl, thionyl, and trifloxystrobin functional groups. 3-TFAO is synthesized by reacting 3-trifluoromethylacetophenone with hydroxylamine in the presence of formamide or oxime. The reaction time is 24 hours at room temperature. The product precipitates out of solution, so it must be recrystallized to remove impurities. This chemical can be used for catalysis and acid lactones, making it useful for the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and other chemicals. 3-TFAO may also react with chloride to produce chloroform and acetophenone oxide.Formula:C9H8F3NOPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:203.16 g/mol
