It reduces the osmotic charge of the cells during freezing and thawing and antagonizes the osmotic shock. CryoSure-DMSO is to be applied as a cryoprotectant for all cells and tissues for which the use of DMSO as a freezing agent is established. Before transplantation CryoSure-DMSO must be eliminated from the transplant.
