Aldehydes
Aldehydes are organic compounds containing a carbonyl group (C=O) bonded to at least one hydrogen atom. These versatile compounds are fundamental in various chemical reactions, including oxidation, reduction, and nucleophilic addition. Aldehydes are essential building blocks in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, fragrances, and polymers. At CymitQuimica, we provide a diverse selection of high-quality aldehydes to support your research and industrial applications.

4-Pyridinecarboxaldehyde
CAS:4-Pyridinecarboxaldehyde is a molecule that exhibits hydrogen bonding interactions with biological molecules and has been shown to have antimicrobial activity. It has also been shown to be a potent inhibitor of the enzyme malonic acid decarboxylase (MAD) in vitro. This inhibitory effect is due to intramolecular hydrogen bonding interactions between the nitrogen atoms and the 2,4-dichlorobenzoic acid moiety of 4-pyridinecarboxaldehyde. These interactions lead to the formation of a covalent bond between the two molecules, which prevents MAD from catalyzing the conversion of malonic acid into succinic acid. The fluorescence probe 4-pyridinecarboxaldehyde has been used as an inhibitor for this enzyme in order to study its role in metabolic disorders such as Gaucher disease.Formula:C6H5NOPurity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:Yellow PowderMolecular weight:107.11 g/molRef: 3D-FP15794

CAS:5-Morpholin-4-ylthiophene-2-carbaldehyde (MT) is a novel anticancer agent that has been shown to have potent cytotoxicity against cancer cells. It interacts with the cancer cell membrane, which results in the disruption of the membrane and leads to the release of cytochrome C from the mitochondria into the cytosol. MT also inhibits tumor growth by inhibiting protein synthesis and inducing apoptosis. MT has been shown to be effective against breast adenocarcinoma in animal studies and human cancer cell lines in vitro. This drug has also been found to have a synergistic effect when used with tamoxifen for breast cancer treatment.Formula:C9H11NO2SPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:197.26 g/molRef: 3D-FM117728

CAS:4-tert-Butyl-2-hydroxybenzaldehyde is an aldehyde that has been used as a reagent in organic synthesis. It is a transition metal ionophore, capable of binding to the apical position on the substrate surface. The kinetics of this process can be studied by measuring the rate of fluoride release from test solutions containing 4-tert-butyl-2-hydroxybenzaldehyde and different anions. The orientation of the substrate with respect to the solvent affects the rate of reaction. Kinetic parameters for this reaction are determined by using an experimental method involving oriented films of lipid bilayers on glass slides.Formula:C11H14O2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:178.23 g/molRef: 3D-FB149167

CAS:2-Hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde is a redox potential chemical that has been shown to have anticancer activity in vitro and in vivo. It inhibits the growth of cells by binding to iron, which is important for many biological processes including DNA synthesis. 2-Hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde has also been shown to have metal carbonyl reactivity and fluorescence properties that may be useful as a fluorescent probe. 2-Hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde binds to iron ions through hydrogen bonding interactions, forming an octahedral complex with six ligands. The compound also has coordination geometry that can be described as either trigonal bipyramidal or square planar, depending on the solvent used. This data was obtained by x-ray diffraction studies of crystalline solids. The compound's Langmuir adsorption isotherm was found to be linear at low concentrations and shifted to nonlinear behavior at higher concentrations. CAS:6-Bromoimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine-3-carboxaldehyde (BIA) is a molecule that has been shown to have antibacterial activity. It inhibits bacterial growth by binding to DNA, preventing transcription and replication. BIA also has antiinflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to reduce the production of prostaglandins. This molecule is used in the lithographic industry as a developer on unexposed photoresistive plates. It is applied under high pressure and then heated so that it can react with the hydrocarbon groups on the plate surface to form crosslinks between molecules and create an insoluble polymer layer.Formula:C8H5BrN2OPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:225.04 g/molRef: 3D-FB140465
