3-O-Methylcarbidopa is a drug that belongs to the class of dopa decarboxylase inhibitors. It is an inactive prodrug, which is converted into its active form by hydrolysis in the body. 3-O-Methylcarbidopa has been shown to have a plasma concentration that can be detected, with an elimination rate of about 4 hours.
