Peptides
Peptides are short chains of amino acids linked by peptide bonds, serving as important biological molecules that play key roles in cellular processes. They function as hormones, neurotransmitters, and signaling molecules, and are widely used in therapeutic and diagnostic applications. Peptides are also crucial in research for studying protein interactions, enzyme activities, and cell signaling pathways. At CymitQuimica, we provide a diverse selection of high-quality peptides to support your research and development needs in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.

Jelleines are a family of very small (8-9 amino acid residues long) host defence peptides (HDPs) isolated from the royal jelly of honey bees (Apis mellifera). Jelleines do not present any similarity with other HDPs from other honeybees and are produced by the workers and secreted into Royal Jelly (RJ), providing abroad-spectrum protection of the bee hive against microbial infections. The Jelleines are not considered cytolytic or directly involved with inflammatory effects. Jelleine-II may be a product of a tryptic digestion of MRJP-1, which is produced in the hypopharyngeal glands of the worker honeybee and secreted into the RJ- an exoproteinase action either on N-or on C-terminal positions of the tryptic fragment could result in the formation of the Jelleines-I and -IV, respectively. Possess antimicrobial properties against yeast, fungi, gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.PLEASE NOTE that in several published articles the sequence of Jelleine-2 has been printed as TPFKISLHL-NH2-NH2, due to a mistake in the original reference: Fontana et al., (2004). The correct sequence, is TPFKISIHL-NH2.Molecular weight:1,053.6 g/molGlycine ethyl ester hydrochloride

BH3 interacting-domain death agonist (BID) is a pro-apoptotic member of the Bcl-2 protein family. BID is a BH3-only protein that connects the extrinsic TNFR1 and Fas death signaling pathway to the mitochondrial amplification cascade of the intrinsic death pathway. BID is believed to activate multidomain pro-apoptotic proteins BAX or BAK directly. hBID peptide is a 21 amino acid amide from the human protein BID. BID is BH3-interacting domain death agonist. This hBID peptide encompasses the BH3 motif containing the conserved LXXXXD, which is required for BID for pro-apoptotic activity and to interact with anti-apoptotic members of the Bcl-2 family. It is a useful reagent for BH3 profiling,Bombesin
CAS:Controlled ProductBombesin is a small peptide that was first isolated from the skin of a frog, Bombina bombina, with homologs later found to be present in mammalian tissues, including the brain and gastrointestinal tract. It is a member of the bombesin-like peptide family, which includes several related peptides such as gastrin-releasing peptide (GRP) and neuromedin B. Bombesin acts as a neuromodulator and regulates various physiological functions, including gastrointestinal motility and stimulation of gastrin release from G cells. It also plays a role in the regulation of cardiovascular function and neurotransmitter release. In addition, bombesin has been shown to stimulate the growth and proliferation of certain types of cancer cells, including prostate and lung cancer cells, through its interaction with bombesin receptors. It may therefore be used as a potential biomarker for certain cancers. This product is available as a 0.5mg vial.Formula:C71H110N24O18SPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:1,619.8 g/moldPEG®4 Biotin Acid

A synthetic peptide for use as a blocking control in assays to test for specificity of PCBP3 antibody, catalog no. 70R-4780Purity:Min. 95%Cyclosporin-A
Cyclosporin-A is a cyclic peptide that inhibits mitochondrial functions and has been used to prevent organ rejection in transplant patients. It binds to the cyclase enzyme and prevents the formation of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) from ATP, which is required for cell growth. Cyclosporin-A also inhibits the production of proteins by preventing transcription, replication, and translation. This drug can cause neurotoxicity when administered at high doses or over a long period of time. In vitro assays have shown that cyclosporin-A has cytotoxic effects on platinum-resistant ovarian cancer cells. It also has an effect on microdialysis probes, which may be due to its ability to inhibit neurotransmitter release from neurons. Cyclosporin-A has been shown to inhibit the production of protein in vivo, as evidenced by a decrease in weight gain in rats treated with this drug for one week.Purity:>99% As Determined By Rp-HplcMIF4GD Blocking Peptide

CAS:[Pyr1]-Apelin-13 acts as a ligand for the apelin receptor (APJ) G protein-coupled receptor and is a substrate for angiotensin-converting enzyme 2. Apelin is a member of the adipokine hormone family from adipose tissue. Adipokines are involved in processes such as vascular homeostasis and angiogenesis.Apelin and the apelin receptor are widely distributed throughout the body. Apelin is associated with cardiovascular diseases, obesity, diabetes and cancer. Apelin is expressed in the spinal cord and the human brain. Immunohistochemistry shows that apelin-17 is significantly expressed in the human heart, brain, lungs and endothelial cells. Studies show myocardial infarction apelin mRNA expression is greater during human heart failure than in healthy tissue. Apelin protects against heart failure due to the pyroglutamic form of apelin, [Pyr1]-Apelin-13, which decreases infarct size of myocardial infarctions. Furthermore, rats with hypertension have reduced levels of apelin and APJ. [Pyr1]-Apelin-13 exhibits higher APJ agonist potency than Apelin-13. Oxytocin is a hormone and neurotransmitter that is produced in the hypothalamus. It is released by the pituitary gland during labor to help with uterine contractions, and it stimulates milk production in the mammary glands. Oxytocin may be used to stimulate lactation or to assist in childbirth. The molecular mass of oxytocin is approximately 3,500 Da, which can be determined using chromatography with a retention time of 8-10 minutes and a peak at 3.5 minutes on reverse phase high performance liquid chromatography (RP-Hplc). Oxytocin has been synthesized chemically and freeze dried for use in research settings. Reconstitute with sterile water for injections before use. Oxytocin may also be used as an additive in food products as a flavor enhancer or preservative.Purity:Min. 95%H-YNGLVTGTR^-OH

Fmoc-Dbz is a hydrophobic chemical that can be used as a linker in peptide synthesis. It is used to connect two amino acids via a carbon-carbon bond, and has been shown to be more reactive than its analogs. Fmoc-Dbz is also an antibacterial agent, which may be due to its ability to inhibit protein synthesis. The chemical structure of Fmoc-Dbz is similar to the cyclic peptides found in plants such as cyclotides, which are composed of 21 amino acids. Cyclic peptides are composed of three disulfide bridges and have potent antiviral and antibiotic activities. These peptides may be useful for treating influenza and other viruses because they bind to the viral membrane and disrupt the virus’s ability to function.Formula:C22H18N2O4Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:374.39 g/molH-FLRPGDDSSHDLMLLR^-OH

Bombesin is a small peptide that was first isolated from the skin of a frog, Bombina bombina, with homologs later found to be present in mammalian tissues, including the brain and gastrointestinal tract. It may therefore be used as a potential biomarker for certain cancers.Formula:C71H110N24O18S•CH3COOH•7H2OPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:1,805.96 g/molZNF131 Blocking Peptide

HIF-1 alpha (556-574) is derived from hypoxia-inducible factor 1-alpha (HIF-1 alpha), a subunit of the heterodimeric transcription factor HIF-1 and is responsible for maintaining oxygen homeostasis. HIF-1 alpha is expressed under hypoxic conditions and is oxygen sensitive. Hypoxia can occur in cancer, heart disease and pulmonary disorders.Structurally HIF-1 alpha contains a N-terminal transactivation domain (N-TAD) which stabilises HIF-1 alpha and a C-terminal transactivation domain (C-TAD) which under hypoxic conditions regulates the transcription of HIF-1 alpha. Moreover HIF-1 alpha features an oxygen dependent degradation domain containing two proline residues and a lysine532. The two proline residues are substrates of prolyl-4-hydroxylases (PHDs) which in the presence of sufficient oxygen, are hydroxylated. Similarly the lysine residue is acetylated by arrest-defective-1 and this is reduced in hypoxic conditions. These hydroxylated prolines and acetylated lysine target HIF-1 alpha for ubiquitination and degradation.Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:2,253 g/molH-2Dk polyomavirus MT peptide RRLGRTLLL

A synthetic peptide for use as a blocking control in assays to test for specificity of ADORA1 antibody, catalog no. 70R-9942Purity:Min. 95%L17E
CAS:L17E is an endosomolytic peptide derived from the cationic and membrane-lytic spider venom peptide M-lycotoxin and contains a substitution of leucine by glutamic acid at position 17. L17E is able to promote the endocytic uptake and cytosolic delivery of exosome-encapsulated proteins.A major obstacles to intracellular targeting by antibodies is the limited release of the antibodies into the cytosol, once inside endosomes. L17E can achieve an enhanced cellular uptake via the induction of micropinocytosis. Once inside the endosome, positively charged L17E is able to preferentially disrupt negatively charged endosomal membranes to enable a marked cytosolic liberation of antibodies (immunoglobulins G (IgGs)) from endosomes.L17E had little pH dependence and no enhanced helical structure is needed for L17E-mediated membrane lysis.Formula:C134H219N37O32Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:2,857.7 g/molH-ENQLEVLEVSWLHGLK-OH

CAS:Angiotensin IV (human) is an active analogue of the chemoattractant protein, angiotensin. It is a potent anti-inflammatory cytokine that inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-10. Angiotensin IV (human) has been shown to significantly reduce the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines in mice with chronic inflammation and can be used to treat autoimmune diseases. The biological properties of this protein have been studied using polymerase chain reactions and cytosolic calcium assays. It has been shown to inhibit binding to both the angiotensin receptor and angiotensin converting enzyme. Angiotensin IV (human) also has locomotor activity.Formula:C40H54N8O8Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:774.91 g/molRHOX11 Blocking Peptide

CAS:Nle-Leu-Phe-OH is a potent colony-stimulating factor that binds to the receptor on the surface of cells and stimulates the production of white blood cells. Nle-Leu-Phe-OH has been shown to induce actin filament formation, which is necessary for cell movement. It also induces cytosolic calcium release and enhances protein synthesis. Nle-Leu-Phe-OH also binds to phosphatase and inhibits its activity, which may be due to a conformational change in the enzyme. This process is necessary for the synthesis of DNA and other proteins from amino acids. Nle-Leu-Phe-OH also causes an increase in the uptake of Ca2+ ions by cells.Formula:C22H33N3O5Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:419.51 g/molBim BH3, Peptide IV
