Lalistat 2 is a drug that inhibits the activity of lipoprotein lipase and insulin resistance, which are both associated with metabolic disorders. Lalistat 2 has been shown to be effective against liver diseases such as fatty liver syndrome (hepatic steatosis) in animal studies. The drug also has anti-cancer effects, inhibiting the growth of cancer cells by inducing autophagy. This drug is not approved for use in pediatric patients because it is not known whether this drug will work safely in children. Lalistat 2 was developed using linear regression and logistic regression analyses on patient data from clinical trials.
