Beschreibung:
Kaliumhydroxid (KOH), auch bekannt als Ätzkali, ist eine starke alkalische Verbindung, die durch ihre weiße, feste Form gekennzeichnet ist, die hoch wasserlöslich ist und eine exotherme Reaktion hervorruft. Es ist hygroskopisch, was bedeutet, dass es Feuchtigkeit aus der Luft aufnehmen kann, und es dissoziiert leicht in wässrigen Lösungen, um Kaliumionen (K⁺) und Hydroxidionen (OH⁻) freizusetzen.
