The purity of this compound is >98%. It is also used as a pharmacopoeia standard for HPLC analysis. This compound is synthetically produced by custom synthesis. Methyl-dihydropurinone has been found to be metabolized into methyl-dihydropyrimidine, which can be detected using HPLC with UV detection at 254 nm.
