4-Chloro-N-(4-nitrobenzyl)aniline is a triflate that has been used in the synthesis of aldehydes, synthons, silanes and other active molecules. 4-Chloro-N-(4-nitrobenzyl)aniline can be used in reductive amination, hydroamination, and reductive amination to form amines. This reagent can also be used as a catalyst for amination reactions with yields of up to 98%. 4-Chloro-N-(4-nitrobenzyl)aniline is commercially available as a mixture of two isomers.
