Beschreibung:2-Octenylsuccinic anhydride is a white, crystalline solid that belongs to the group of hydroxide solutions. The optimum concentration for 2-octenylsuccinic anhydride is approximately 0.1 M in pH 7.0 phosphate buffer at room temperature with a particle size of 500 nm. This chemical exhibits fluorescence when exposed to light and has been used as a probe for metal ions and enzymes. 2-Octenylsuccinic anhydride reacts with polycarboxylic acids, such as citric acid, to form carboxylic esters. It can be used in vitro tests on the human skin to determine fatty acid composition and morphology by using electron microscopy.
