Beschreibung:1,3,5-Cyclohexanetricarbonitrile (cis- and trans- mixture) is an organic compound that is a trimethylcyclohexane derivative. It has absorption spectroscopy in the region of 230 to 280 nanometers. The cis- and trans- forms of this molecule have been shown to have different profiles with respect to carboxylate, gel permeation chromatography, photoelectron spectroscopy, and molecular size. The cis form is less soluble in water than the trans form. This difference in solubility can be attributed to the difference in hydrogen bonding between the two forms. In addition, 1,3,5-Cyclohexanetricarbonitrile (cis- and trans- mixture) has stereoisomers with different functional theory for their reactions with anions such as chloride and bromide which are due to steric hindrance from methyl groups on adjacent carbons.
