Beschreibung:Cis-permethrin is a member of the pyrethroid class of insecticides. It is used to treat head lice, scabies, and other parasitic skin conditions. Cis-permethrin has been shown to have high resistance to degradation by sodium citrate in an analytical method. This product is toxic to the rat caudate putamen cells at concentrations greater than 10 μM. It has been shown that cis-permethrin inhibits P-glycoprotein transporter activity and may be a substrate for this protein. Cis-permethrin also inhibits glycol ethers, which are found in wastewater treatment facilities. Cis-permethrin inhibits the enzyme activities of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and certain enzymes involved in cell signaling pathways and protein synthesis. Cis-permethrin can also cause changes in gene expression in a model system where it was used as an antimicrobial agent against infectious diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis, and leishman
