Beschreibung:Biotin-16-deoxycytidine-5'-triphosphate, lithium salt is a synthetic nucleoside analogue that is an antiviral and anticancer drug. It is used to treat chronic hepatitis B virus infections. It is phosphorylated by adenosine kinase to form the corresponding 5'-triphosphate (Biotin-16-deoxycytidine-5'-triphosphate, lithium salt - 1 mM aqueous solution) which acts as an allosteric activator of RNA polymerase, which in turn increases the rate of rRNA synthesis. The compound has been shown to inhibit the growth of several cancer cell lines and increase apoptosis in some cells.
