Clorhidrato de paroxetina hemihidrato es un inhibidor selectivo de la recaptación de serotonina (ISRS) utilizado principalmente en el tratamiento del trastorno depresivo mayor, trastornos de ansiedad y trastorno obsesivo-compulsivo. Se caracteriza por su fórmula química, que incluye una forma de sal de clorhidrato y un hemihidrato, lo que indica la presencia de moléculas de agua en su estructura cristalina. Este compuesto típicamente aparece como un polvo blanco a blanco amarillento y es soluble en agua, lo que facilita su absorción en el cuerpo.
