Descripción:
Undecano es un alcano de cadena recta con la fórmula molecular C11H24. Es un líquido incoloro y inflamable a temperatura ambiente y forma parte de la familia más amplia de hidrocarburos conocidos como alcanos, que se caracterizan por enlaces simples entre átomos de carbono. Undecano tiene un punto de ebullición relativamente alto en comparación con los alcanos de cadena más corta, lo que refleja su mayor tamaño molecular y fuerzas de van der Waals aumentadas.
