Etanol, sal de sodio, también conocido como etóxido de sodio, es un compuesto orgánico con la fórmula C2H5NaO. Se caracteriza por su papel como una base fuerte y un nucleófilo en la síntesis orgánica. Este compuesto típicamente aparece como un sólido o polvo blanco a blanco sucio y es altamente soluble en disolventes polares como el etanol y el agua.
