Descripción:
Ácido 4-aminobenzoico, comúnmente conocido como PABA, es una amina aromática y un derivado del ácido benzoico. Presenta un grupo amino (-NH2) para al grupo carboxilo (-COOH) en el anillo bencénico, lo que contribuye a sus propiedades químicas. El PABA es un sólido cristalino blanco que es soluble en agua y alcohol, pero menos soluble en disolventes no polares. Tiene un punto de fusión que típicamente cae dentro de un rango específico, lo que indica su estabilidad bajo condiciones estándar. El PABA es conocido por su papel en la síntesis del ácido fólico y se utiliza en diversas aplicaciones, incluyendo como agente de protección solar debido a sus propiedades de absorción de UV.
