Fosfato de dihidrógeno de tetrabutilamonio (TBADHP) es un compuesto orgánico caracterizado por su estructura de amonio cuaternario, donde un catión de tetrabutilamonio se empareja con un anión de fosfato dihidrógeno. It is a salt that can be used to inhibit the growth of bacteria in wastewater treatment and as an analytical method for determining p-hydroxybenzoic acid levels in food products. Tetrabutylammonium phosphate has also been shown to have anti-tumor effects on solid tumours and has been used as a negative control in electrochemical detection experiments. It binds to receptor molecules, such as methyl ethyl, through hydrogen bonding. CAS:Tetrabutylammonium phosphate (TBAP) is a sodium salt that is used as a sample preparation agent in analytical chemistry. TBAP can be used to extract organic molecules from biological samples, such as plasma or urine. It also has the ability to extract fluorescence dyes and other substances that are covalently bonded to proteins, such as p-hydroxybenzoic acid, which is used in the production of synthetic hormones. In an experiment using two-way crossover design, TBAP was found to increase the rate of diffusion of one substrate and decrease the rate of diffusion of another substrate. This data suggests that TBAP may have kinetic effects on the enzyme responsible for catalyzing these reactions.
