Descripción:
Estricnina es un alcaloide altamente tóxico derivado de las semillas del árbol Strychnos nux-vomica, que se encuentra principalmente en el sudeste asiático y Australia. Se clasifica como un estimulante del sistema nervioso central y es conocido por sus potentes efectos en el cuerpo. Estricnina actúa como un antagonista de los receptores de glicina, lo que lleva a un aumento de la excitabilidad neuronal y espasmos musculares, que pueden resultar en convulsiones y, en dosis altas, pueden ser fatales.
