D(+)-Sacarosa, comúnmente conocido como azúcar de mesa, es un disacárido compuesto de unidades de glucosa y fructosa unidas por un enlace glucosídico. Es un sólido blanco y cristalino que es altamente soluble en agua, lo que lo convierte en un edulcorante ampliamente utilizado en alimentos y bebidas.
