Rolitetraciclina es un antibiótico de amplio espectro que pertenece a la clase de las tetraciclinas, caracterizado por su capacidad para inhibir la síntesis de proteínas bacterianas. Se deriva del producto natural clortetraciclina y exhibe un mecanismo de acción similar al unirse a la subunidad ribosomal 30S, impidiendo así la unión de aminoacil-tRNA al ribosoma. Este antibiótico es efectivo contra una variedad de bacterias grampositivas y gramnegativas, lo que lo hace útil en el tratamiento de diversas infecciones.
