Descripción:
Ácido tricloroacético (TCA) es un compuesto orgánico incoloro, inodoro y altamente corrosivo con la fórmula química CCl3COOH. Es un derivado del ácido acético, donde tres átomos de hidrógeno son reemplazados por átomos de cloro. TCA es un ácido fuerte, que exhibe un valor de pKa que indica su capacidad para disociarse en soluciones acuosas, lo que lo convierte en un ácido potente en varias reacciones químicas. Es soluble en agua, alcohol y éter, lo que mejora su utilidad en aplicaciones de laboratorio e industriales.
