Oxitetraciclina es un antibiótico de amplio espectro que pertenece a la clase de las tetraciclinas, utilizado principalmente para tratar diversas infecciones bacterianas en humanos y animales. Se caracteriza por su capacidad para inhibir la síntesis de proteínas en las bacterias al unirse a la subunidad ribosomal 30S, impidiendo así el crecimiento y la reproducción de los microorganismos.
