Descripción:
Tazobactam es un inhibidor de β-lactamasa comúnmente utilizado en combinación con ciertos antibióticos para mejorar su eficacia contra cepas bacterianas resistentes. Es un polvo cristalino blanco a blanco amarillento que es soluble en agua y presenta una fórmula molecular de C10H12N4O4S. Tazobactam actúa inhibiendo la actividad de las enzimas β-lactamasa producidas por las bacterias, que son responsables de descomponer los antibióticos β-lactámicos, permitiendo así que estos antibióticos permanezcan efectivos.
