Propilparabeno, con la fórmula química C10H12O3 y número CAS 94-13-3, es un éster del ácido p-hidroxibenzoico y se utiliza comúnmente como conservante en cosméticos, productos farmacéuticos y alimentarios. Se caracteriza por sus propiedades antimicrobianas, que ayudan a inhibir el crecimiento de bacterias, moho y levaduras, prolongando así la vida útil de los productos.
