CAS:1,5-diphenyl-1H-pyrazole is a nitro compound that binds to the guanine nucleotide binding protein. It is an inhibitor of cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase and has been shown to inhibit the growth of cryptococcus neoformans in vitro assays. 1,5-Diphenyl-1H-pyrazole has been synthesized by an asymmetric synthesis method. The molecular modeling and nmr spectra show that 1,5-diphenyl-1H-pyrazole has a pyrazole ring with a fluorine atom at the 5 position.
