Descripción:Thiamine hydrochloride plays an important role as a nutrient for carbohydrate metabolism and in nerve function. It finds application as a food-additive to add a brothy/meaty flavor to gravies or soups. It is involved in the preparation of 3-(4-amino-2-methyl-pyrimidin-5-ylmethyl)-5-(2-hydroxy-ethyl)-4-methyl-thiazolium chloride. In addition, it finds use in amino acid synthesis in cultured cells, which is present in many classical and serum-free formulations.
