Descripción:Digeranyl bisphosphonate is a statin that inhibits the synthesis of cholesterol and fatty acids. It has been shown to be effective in treating prostate cancer resistant to other drugs as well as breast cancer. Digeranyl bisphosphonate also inhibits autophagy, which is a process that cells use to recycle damaged proteins and organelles. This drug binds to mammalian tissue, allowing it to enter cells, where it inhibits protein synthesis. Digeranyl bisphosphonate can also inhibit the growth of infectious bacteria by inhibiting protein synthesis.
