Descripción:4-Amino-5-chloro-N-(1-[3-(4-fluorophenoxy)propyl]-3-methoxy-4-piperidinyl)-2-methoxybenzamide is an antimicrobial agent that has been used to treat bowel disease. It inhibits the 5HT2 receptors, which are found in intestinal cells, as well as sodium citrate, a substance necessary for the absorption of water and electrolytes. 4A5CNM has also been shown to have clinical properties such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and electrochemical detector. This drug has been tested on congestive heart failure patients who were taking cisapride (a drug that stimulates the central nervous system). 4A5CNM was found to increase the activity of pharmacological agents in these patients without affecting their heart rate or blood pressure. This drug may cause metabolic disorders such as increased levels of liver enzymes and kidney dysfunction in some individuals with diabetes mellitus
