Descripción:The chemical structure of 2-(3-chlorophenoxy)propionic acid is a carbonyl group with two hydroxyl groups. It has been found to inhibit the growth of some bacteria, such as Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, in wastewater treatment. When 2-(3-chlorophenoxy)propionic acid is combined with other chemicals such as phenoxy herbicides, it can show synergistic effects. This compound also has a low acute toxicity and does not produce any volatile compounds when decomposed by microorganisms. 2-(3-Chlorophenoxy)propionic acid is used as a test compound for agrochemicals.
