Descripción:O,O-Diethyl O-(2-Isopropyl-6-methyl-4-pyrimidinyl) phosphorothioate is a pesticide that inhibits the enzyme formamidase. This enzyme is involved in the biosynthesis of kynurenine and xanthurenic acid. The inhibition of formamidase increases concentrations of these two metabolites, which may be responsible for the toxicity of O,O-Diethyl O-(2-isopropyl-6-methyl-4-pyrimidinyl) phosphorothioate. It has been shown to be an effective insecticide and a potent inhibitor of formamidase in vitro and in vivo.
