Descripción:2-Methyl-3,4,5,6-tetramethoxybromobenzene is an analogue of the natural product 2-methyl-3,4,5,6-tetramethoxybenzoic acid. It has been used for the synthesis of dipeptides with lysine and quinone as coupling partners. The methyl ester group was then cleaved by hydrogenolysis to provide a free carboxylic acid that could be used in subsequent syntheses. This synthetic route has been successfully applied to the synthesis of a number of immunoassay antibodies and their corresponding antigens.
