Descripción:2-Phenyl-4-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-imidazole is an extracellular control agent that binds to cytosolic Ca2+ and inhibits the elevation of camp levels. 2-Phenyl-4-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-imidazole has been shown to reduce oxidative DNA damage in vitro, which may be due to its ability to inhibit intracellular Ca2+ release from the sarcoplasmic reticulum. This drug has been shown to be effective against high blood pressure and heart rate in both wild-type mice and mice with elevated concentrations of phenylephrine. 2-Phenyl-4-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-imidazole also has the potential mechanism of inhibiting the activity of phosphodiesterase enzymes, which are responsible for deactivating cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP).
