Descripción:(2R,6S)-rel-4-[[[3,5-Bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]methyl][5-(1-methyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-2-pyrimidinyl]amino]-2,6-diethyl-1piperidineca rboxylic acid trans-4carboxycyclohexyl ester (TPCA) is an antioxidant drug with a potency similar to that of vitamin E. It has been shown to be effective in lowering the level of low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL), which is associated with an increased risk for atherosclerosis. TPCA also has the ability to inhibit blood pressure and has been shown to have no toxicity in humans. TPCA is stable under a variety of conditions, including storage at high temperatures.
