The synthesized nucleoside can be converted to a diphosphate or phosphoramidite. 5-Fluoro-O4-(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)-2'-deoxyuridine is an anticancer agent that inhibits DNA synthesis by inhibiting ribonucleic acid (RNA) synthesis. It has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of human leukemia cells and may have potential for use in therapy for cancer treatment.
