Descripción:Riluzole is a drug that inhibits the synthesis of glutamate and aspartate, which are neurotransmitters in the central nervous system. It also inhibits the 5-HT2 receptors, which are associated with autoimmune diseases. Riluzole can be used to treat diseases such as bowel disease and Crohn's disease. This drug has been shown to have a low potential for drug interactions because it does not inhibit any cytochrome P450 enzymes or other enzymes involved in drug metabolism. Riluzole does not inhibit reuptake of serotonin or dopamine and does not bind to any receptor activity.
