4-Bromo-2-chloro-5-fluoroaniline is a polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) with a deaminated, toxic and analytical profile. 4-Bromo-2-chloro-5-fluoroaniline is used as an analog for other PCB congeners. It is also used in the preparation of monofluorinated biphenyls and chlorinated biphenyls. 4-Bromo-2-chloro-5-fluoroaniline has been shown to have a mutagenic effect on calf thymus DNA and to inhibit the growth of bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics.
